Our Practice
We want to be, not just your child’s healthcare provider, but part of their village.
We want to be, not just your child’s healthcare provider, but part of their village.
It is the aim of Florence Park Pediatrics to shatter the industry of pediatric medical care. We want to be, not just your child’s healthcare provider, but part of their village. Breaking the mold of traditional medical care, Florence Park Pediatrics will provide an educational experience for our patients and their families, empowering them to understand their child’s unique needs and creating a team environment to navigate the constant ups and downs of parenthood from birth to adulthood.
Choosing a pediatrician for your child is an important decision. It is crucial that your pediatrician’s philosophy on health and wellness aligns closely with that of your family. Please consider the following as you determine whether our practice is a good fit.
Florence Park Pediatrics does not tolerate discrimination of any kind. We hope to provide a safe and caring environment for ALL families, because we understand that families come in many forms! Additionally, understanding that all children deserve the best, we welcome LGBTQ children and families with open arms.
Understanding that without science we would not have medical care, Florence Park Pediatrics strives to always stay abreast of the latest evidence and the most current recommendations put forth by the American Academy of Pediatrics, so that every child receives the best in evidence-based medicine.
Florence Park Pediatrics requires that all patients follow the CDC-recommended immunization schedule, except in the rare instance of a medical contraindication to immunizations. Please read our complete Immunization policy.
We strongly believe in the responsible use of antibiotics, and make every effort to prescribe them only when a bacterial infection is suspected. Antibiotics have no benefit against viral infections, and can cause unintended side effects, especially when used inappropriately or excessively. We also do not routinely prescribe antibiotics over the phone.
We know that children can get sick at any time! You can call our office 24 hours a day with new or urgent questions or concerns that cannot wait until office hours. Most issues can be expertly handled by the triage nurse line. If the nurse is unable to answer your questions, Dr. Dunlap is on back-up call.
Visit our Policies & Forms page for a more detailed review of our policies and procedures.
Dr. Dunlap was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, graduating from Booker T. Washington High School in 1996. She then moved away to attend Cornell University in Ithaca New York, graduating with a degree in English, before returning to Tulsa to attend OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine. She then completed her pediatric residency at OU College of Medicine in 2011. Dr. Dunlap has been board-certified with the American Board of Pediatrics since 2011.
But she’s not ALL work! Dr. Dunlap has four children: Grayson, Sloan, Channing and Keaton. When she’s not juggling THAT 3-ring circus, she is an avid runner, taking time each day to escape her crazy life and run the hills of Tulsa.
