Florence Park Pediatrics offers visits for ear piercing, using the Blomdahl Medical Ear Piercing system. This is a cash-pay service: the $100 fee includes the visit and medical grade earrings.
Ear piercing is a cosmetic procedure. Therefore, Dr. Dunlap will only pierce ears for infants ages 4 to 12 months (as these children can be comfortably held in their parents’ laps during the procedure). The child must be up-to-date on immunizations.
After age 12 months, a child must be able to sit still WITHOUT being restrained, except for gentle hand-holding. This typically can be accomplished for children aged 6 and up. Dr. Dunlap will not restrain a child for ear piercing. If you arrive for the procedure and your child refuses or fights, the procedure will be rescheduled. Thank you for understanding!
